Station Number: MI-BN-28
Station Name: Baroda 1.3 W
Report Date: 4/20/2025
Submitted: 4/20/2025 7:19 AM
Scale Bar: Near Normal
Description:
Precipitation slowed this week with the rain gauge only capturing 0.05 inches of moisture, all in the form of rain. Tuesday’s shower had a few snowflakes mixed in with the rain but hardly enough to notice. Spring appears to be slowly gaining some traction with a little more greening and slight growth to the lawn, although not enough to mow. More trees are beginning to blossom. Large trees have not leafed yet so the landscape hue is still only a subtle green. Temperatures seem to be moderating; only a brief and minor frost on Thursday morning and by Friday afternoon, temps hit the mid-70s. The low areas that host persistent puddling are much reduced of their water as are drainage ditches. Surface soils are still moist but no longer saturated. Overall, moisture doesn’t seem to be leaning one way or the other but the effects of the heavy rains from recent weeks have largely dissipated.
