Condition Monitoring Report
Station Number: CA-MD-45
Station Name: Mendocino 0.5 NE
Report Date: 4/20/2025
Submitted: 4/20/2025 6:48 AM
Scale Bar: Mildly Wet
Description:
No rain since the last report, and none in the forecast, so we may be nearing the end of rain for the rain year. But, we are over 43 inches, which should mean no problems with water supplies during the coming dry season. More blooming as the spring goes one. The native coastal irises are starting to open and more wild flowers are showing daily. The winter birds, like the Dark-eyed Juncos, have left for their summer breeding grounds and we are happy to see a pair of California Quail in our gardens--it's been at least a year since we've seen them. We've had some glorious sunny days and the past couple with morning fog. Ocean conditions are good for water sports and there are lots of ecotourists in town. And, families for the Easter weekend.
