May was another dry month as only 1.65" of rain fell, 3.10" below normal.  Agricultural interests/Farmers, have for the most part, planted their seed under favorable conditions, but now could use some rain.  Rivers and other water bodies are flowing low, and many ephemeral ponds are dry.  Native vegetation can generally survive these periods of low precipitation, but some watering of has taken place in the urban/suburban landscapes.
