With the recent rainfall, we are near normal on precipitation. But we are still catching up for the previous three years drought.
In my reports I mention sometimes that my pond water level isn’t up to primary spill pipe. After a hard 2.28 rain yesterday that in most years would certainly fill the pond, raised it but still 8 inches below the pipe. Check the picture. It says it all. Approximately 38 acres are in this pond's watershed. The pond is 1.5 surface acres by 6 foot ave depth. This why it takes the ‘wet’ years to balance the dry. No climate change issue. Just the ebb and flow of this 100 year old pond.
